Dubai Football Challenge tickets on sale now
- AC Milan v Hamburg SV to thrill local crowds -
Dubai, November 15, 2008 - Tickets for the much-anticipated Dubai Football Challenge clash between AC Milan and Hamburg SV are on sale online now.
Organisers of the event have been inundated with requests for tickets as Dubai football fans look forward to the star-studded Emirates Airline and DTCM-sponsored spectacle on January 6, 2009.
AC Milan will be based in the city for their Emirates Winter Training Camp and will field a team that includes the likes of Ballon d’Or winners Kaka and Ronaldinho - both of whom are also FIFA World Player of the Year winners - and Andriy Shevchenko, Paolo Maldini, Clarence Seedorf and Pato.
"We know that there are many football fans eager to get their hands on tickets for what promises to be a truly memorable event on January 6," said Boutros Boutros, Emirates’ Senior Vice President, Media Relations, Sponsorships and Events.
"This really will be a unique event for the city with a lineup of stars certain to thrill the crowds. We are looking forward to hosting this unforgettable encounter at the newly constructed Emirates sports venue, The Sevens," he added.
The Dubai Football Challenge is now in its third year and has proven to be a favourite among the city’s sports fans, with sell-out crowds for the past two years. This year is likely to be no different and spectators are being encouraged to purchase their tickets as soon as possible.
Tickets are available online now through Time Out tickets and Virgin, while retail sales will start in early December at Costa Coffee and MMI outlets in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Dnata offices and Virgin stores in Dubai, as well as at The Sevens Ground. Corporate packages will be available by calling (04) 321 0008.
Regular ticket prices are: AED 100 for adults and AED 50 for children under 12.

AC Milan’s Emirates-sponsored Winter Training Camp will run from December 29 this year to January 7 2009, with their clash against Hamburg SV taking place on Tuesday, January 6. Kickoff will be at 7pm at Emirates’ sports venue, The Sevens, on the Al Ain Road.
