An Annual International event with races held in 13 International locations throughout the world.
The Bloomberg Square Mile Relay is an immersive team building experience, which takes place in the heart of financial districts around the world. The event uses the power of sport and physical activity to address social challenges in each race city across the globe, with projects that deliver lasting impact long after the teams cross the finish line.
Wednesday 12th February, the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay returned to Dubai for its fifth race, hosted once again at the Dubai International Financial Centre
The Race has continued in popularity, with over 100 teams on the start line representing 79 companies, including 35 mixed teams and two female teams
Taking the title was Emirates Steel, completing their laps of the one-mile course in a time of 1:00:48 to become Dubai’s fastest firm in the city for a second year running
Close behind the winning team was Bloomberg, who finished in second place with 1:01:43, followed by JLL with a time of 1:05:59
The Fastest Mixed Team on the night was also won by JLL, and Petrofac International took the prize as the Fastest Female Team with 1:41:13
Runners were encouraged to run for their cause as part of The Extra Mile. The winning cause was Disaster Relief and Emirates Red Crescent received a donation of
AED 23,290 to create a year-long program to address this cause
